asisi Berlin – TITANIC (360° Panorama)
We have been providing the Berlin-based company asisi with a very high detailed model of the wreck of TITANIC for their 360° panoramic image. Part of the work was also to research all the historical details of the state of the ship in 1912 as well as its stage as a wreck.
TITANIC – THE PROMISE OF MEDERNITY
With his TITANIC panorama project, Yadegar Asisi focuses not on the maritime disaster in 1912 itself, but rather takes as his central theme the sinking of the luxury liner as a model example for the arrogance of man, who since time immemorial has ignored the laws of creation and placed himself and his creative efforts above them. The state-of-the-art technical achievements of the Titanic in competition with the forces of nature stand for this hubris of mankind.
On the night of 14th April 1912, the Titanic collided with an iceberg southeast of Newfoundland while on her maiden voyage and sank over two-and-a-half hours later in the North Atlantic. Although more than two hours was available for the evacuation, some 1,500 of the over 2,200 people on board died. The insufficient number of lifeboats and the inexperienced crew, in particular, are blamed for this enormous maritime disaster.
Here the viewpoint of the observer is set some 3,800 metres below the surface of the water at the level of the shipwreck. An artificial lighting scenario allows the visitor to discover the tragic magnitude of this disaster in a panorama – not in fragments. Recognisable are both the wreck itself, broken into two pieces, and the vast amount of furniture, furnishings, technical equipment and pieces of luggage surrounding it.
With this panorama, Asisi has created a fascination for the superb feat of engineering of the British luxury liner, which also broaches the age-old issue of the mastery of nature. At the same time, with his presentation of the broken wreck in the depths of the Atlantic, Asisi draws attention to the finite nature of human existence and actions. Thousands of tons of steel are corroding on the ocean bed and the once luxuriant furnishings and the high-tech equipment of the 40,000 ton liner resemble an expanse of rubble that is gradually being reclaimed by nature.
TITANIC was on display in Leipzig in 2017 for the first time and after that it has been brought to Rouen.

asisi Berlin – ROUEN 1431 (360° Panorama)
ROUEN 1431
THE ERA OF JOAN OF ARC
With the Rouen Panorama, Yadegar Asisi takes the visitor on a trip into the Gothic era. In the Middle Ages, this French city on the Seine played a key role as an interface between the hinterland (with the capital Paris) and the English Channel, gaining prosperity as a trading centre for imports from England and exports from the hinterland. At the same time, cloth production flourished in Normandy.
Asisi portrays the city of the “hundred church towers” (Victor Hugo) in the Late Gothic Period at the onset of modern times. Contrary to popular belief, this epoch is not shown as a period of darkness and backwardness, but instead as an age of upheaval and shift towards the individual. This Panorama presents Rouen with a differentiated and structured social and commercial life. The various craftsmen in their many guilds (e.g. fishermen, weavers, saddlers, clothmakers, tanners, carpenters, millers, furriers, etc.) are exemplary in this
regard.
At the same time, the Gothic Cathedral of Rouen, previously an inspiration for Claude Monet, stands as an example for the sparse architecture of that period. The weight of the stone vaults, as high as a house, is borne not by walls but by pillars and supports giving a filigree effect, strengthened with flying buttresses and candle arches as well as external columns. Between them are large glass windows depicting art work images. The sophisticated, ingenious symbolism of the Gothic cathedral embodies an ideal of the medieval Christian world of ideas, auguring light in the apocalyptic “darkness” of the lifeworld of the Dark Ages. Even today, this manifests itself in the great art of the architects
and guilds who constructed the buildings in the course of centuries.
Asisi also takes up a key historical aspect: the Hundred Years’ War between France and England. Large swathes of France belonged to England in the 15th century, the tide being only turned to France’s advantage by troops under Joan of Arc. Captured by the English as a result of betrayal, she was burnt at the stake in Rouen in 1431. Seen from the cathedral tower, the scene unfurls in May 1431: Judgement is passed on Joan of Arc; she awaits her fate at the stake. Parallel to this, the Panorama depicts the pulsating life in Rouen with its churches, half-timbered houses, courtyards and the Seine bridge. In the hinterland can be seen the Normandy countryside dotted by farmsteads.
For the first time ROUEN 1431 was on display in Rouen in 2016. Since then the
panorama has been on display there for a second time.
PERSEPHONE (film project – concept 3D Art & previz models)
FUTUREDUDE ENTERTAINMENT / THE LIGHT WORKS
We worked with THE LIGHT WORKS for the film project PERSEPHONE (directed and written by Jeffrey Morris aka. THE FUTUREDUDE) that is currently under production.
Part of our work was to create 2D designs into 3D models, which were used later for previz animation and further concept art.
EDUCATION
SAE INSTITUTE COLOGNE & FERRIS STATE UNIVERSITY
Our art community is growing each day. New students are entering the workforce every semester. Learning the theory in an educational environment like a university is one thing. Practice, however, is a different thing. We’re helping to close the gap between educational institutions and the industry. With our vast network within the industry, we’re not only tutoring students, we’re also offering internships and help them to get connected with industry professionals.
That is why we have partnered with SAE INSTITUTE (Cologne, Germany) and FERRIS STATE UNIVERSITY (Grand Rapids & Big Rapids Michigan, USA). No master has fallen out of the sky, everyone started small. We’re proud to support artists on all skill levels and on a variety of disciplines.
If you are interested to join us in our efforts as a company or as a student, do not hesitate to contact us!
.
WE CURRENTLY HAVE OPEN POSITIONS FOR INTERNS! CHECK OUT THIS SITE FOR MORE INFORMATION!

HYDRAFORGE
We have partnered with HYDRAFORGE to create prop designs and 3D prints. We have worked together for a few years and are also working together for convention (FEDCON) in various ways. Furthermore, we have provided graphics and design aid for costumes, 3D prints and visuals for beamers and Intros.
GAME DESIGN
TITANIC: HONOR AND GLORY
ASSET CREATION
STAR TREK: VOYAGER VIDEO GAME (unpublished)
This was created in cooperation with THE LIGHT WORKS for a STAR TREK: VOYAGER game. That model was intended for a rendered video sequence. Unfortunately, that project got cancelled.
PRODUCT DESIGN AND RENDERING
HERAS ADRONIT : THE iGATE
For the international gate and fence producer HERAS ADRONIT we did create custom renders for their flagship product “iGate”. Some of our renditions made it into real life designs. We also developed a UI for an interactive designer tool.
